Below is a reprint of the February 1998 edition of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinics of North America, Rehabilitation of Neuromuscular Disorders, edited by Gregory T. Carter, M.D., an investigator in the RRTC/NMD. Permission for this was granted by the publishers.
The RRTC/NMD at UC Davis presented a State of the Science Roundtable in 2001 to discuss the "Role of Physical Activity and Exercise in Neuromuscular Diseases." The American Journal of Physical Medicine [November 2002, Volume 81(11)] published the summary papers (below) written by the members of the panel.
